Happy college radio day everyone! Today's the day to celebrate the radio stations that do radio the best way, those being the college radio stations. There are so many great college stations around. Where I go to college- Rowan University's WGLS-FM 89.7 750 watts! It's not a regular college station, in that it plays classic hits. A pretty decent let down for me. But I can also hear WKDU 91.7 Drexel Uni's stations- which is kick ass radio! All amazing indie, reggae, experimental and so on. A real college radio station. There is also WDBK 91.5 Camden County College radio station, another awesome indie radio station.
The University of British Columbia's radio station in Vancouver (101.9 CITR) is great (it's the only FM station I listen to, other than a Seattle classical one and, of course, Artisan Radio). It plays a smorgasborg of musical genres and talk - you almost always can find something interesting.
I was hoping to get our LPFM on today, but it looks like this weekend.
