After tens of thousands of complaints to Google, they are finally relenting and will allow SHOUTcast v1 to function once again.

All I can say is what a bunch of pricks at google.
Now they do this after many of us have gone to the trouble to change our streams over to Shoutcast ver2.
I bet Im not the only one whos unhappy about them wasting our time.
I for one will never use google chrome again and would never advise people to use it.
I had no idea Chrome had stopped support for V1 or how that even works. All my streams stayed V1 including the full-power cluster.
For the last month then, no one using google chrome would have been able to play you internet streams. They still wont untill they do the update to chrome ver 57 its still at version 55
I've always externally launched shoutcast streams with WMP or built-in web players. How does chrome do it, in browser natively?
Yes all web browsers do it. You embed a a flash or html5 player on your web site linked to your stream. http://ragfm.com.
Google chrome have now aloud the streams to run again with an update, but they are going to drop support again in the next version. Who knows what they are thinking.
