Hello everybody

if you are looking for a fm transmitter with good range
then i say don't bother. All these fm transmitters such as the whole house fm transmitter, the ramsey 25b's and c. crane and all that other stuff produce bad range and very bad audio. I have tried all these fm transmitters and get me nowhere. You are better off getting a 15W fm transmitter. Thats thats what i did and are getting great results.
just a thought
love yous
tim

Hi Tim,

I use a Ramsey FM 25 here and it provides several hundred feet of range with the provided whip. The only real issue I had was a hum problem which was solved by placing the transmitter in a metal box.

I limit my range intentionally by shortening the whip to the point that the signal just covers my house and it is very weak about 100 feet away from the house.

Obviously, if one is trying to broadcast to a large number of neighbors this won't work, but for personal use around one's property the FM 25 is adequate and the audio and stereo are quite good.
