Default AM Frequency

I did a search on the FCC data base of AM stations:

http://www.fcc.gov/mb/audio/amq.html

You will have to know your Long/Lat coordinates. You can find these with a GPS or on the USGS webite of your exact location.

I did a 1800 Km wide search of all AM freqs including LPAM travelers stations.

The best freq I could come up with was 1670 khz. Closest stations were in Kansas City, MO. and some station in the Boloxby (sp?), LA.

All of the other available freqs would wipe me out at night (Skywave and some Groundwave).

When you use the search - note the freq - daytime/nighttime power used and if they are licensed or under pending application approval.
