"wonder if the new generation has the same setup to spit the L-R an L+R"
Yes. The newer model uses more surface mount IC's and the PC board is a bit smaller than the first model.
Both units however use the same cabinet and faceplate with the push button controls. The display is the same as is its addressing and pin layout.
I will post a picture of my unit which is not inside the stock cabinet nor does it use the faceplate control panel. My unit is the board itself, the display on a ribbon cable and the controls had to be added. I used a round pre punched board and small push buttons for the function controls.
But both models have the exact same features, such as the L+R and L-R split/combined modes.
Mine is also the European version..ie the 400mW unit. I ordered that unit because the US 100mW version will not drive the LPB amplifiers enough to produce full output. It operates on 24 volts DC.
ADDING IMAGES EDIT:
HERE is the PC board image that is in the manual and shows everything in detail and description of adjustments, in's/out's etc.
And HERE is the actual unit operating shortly after installing the round PC board with the control switches and undergoing stress test driving an LPB AM 30P transmitter.
