Lots of new music in this (Bern Brijis, Steev Inglish, Amoeba Knievel, Joe Zeziorski, Psycho Skeletons) and a truly gut-splitting sermon about Excremeditation by Dr. G. Gordon Gordon, but mostly it is some "Best of Puzzling Evidence" as selected by Rev. Baby Bear and Rev. Stang. The main spouters are Dr. Hal and Dr. Philo Drummond, and they do some killer verbal riffs about Church doctrine as well as a science lesson that you'll never forget, especially if you google the images they suggest!

I am a member of two mainstream churches and an active atheist, but since John WDCX invited me in at the Church of the Sub-Genius I am now a member over there too.
At first I aired the weekly Hour of Slack at night, but have found that early revival works even better, so I face east toward a three-way-mirror and worship whatever comes to mind on KDX Worldround Radio.

Don't be born again... get conceived again at the Vhurch of SubGenius!
is this shows content safe for radio?
They have two versions. One edited and one that is not.
"Hour of Slack" No. 1511 is newly released and here's what I learned from today's sermon...
BOB is spelled with all caps and no quote marks.
I visited the Prayer Reception Room of the Church of the Subgenius and sat at the desk right next to the guy from the NSA.
I even prayed to BOB while I was there:
"Oh BOB revive us and in Your hidden way fill our pockets to overflowing.
You are too amazing to be believed."
I did an Indie Showcase on the LPFM and used their line "In Bob We Trust". Got a lot of ribbing over that one.
Just in case it comes up..
I actually am ordained by the Universal Ministries Church AND the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (May You Be Touched By HIS Noodely Appendage) and am registered in the State of Minnesota. I've actually performed three weddings. One, a hippe theme wedding on the North Sore of Lake Superior, held outdoors near a cliff overlooking the lake -- yes, I wore a tie-dye robe and butterflies were released, one a Star Trek theme (they provided proper uniform for me) and most recently a Renaissance wedding, where not only did I write the ceremony but also the pre wedding ceremony for knighting the groomsmen and the groom to make them worthy of their women. I may have a couple snapshots from the last wedding in my computer someplace. I'm sure a Part 15 style wedding could be done if necessary.

Tim I'm a ULC Minister as well 🙂
Will you guys perform gay weddings, assuming there's a willing baker?
Following slack trials at night we at KDX have found that the 8:30 to 9:30 hour in the morning is the perfect time for slack.
Sometimes we air the wrong version and banned words get sent on the airways, but we have those words sealed in a security envelope where they cannot be viewed and our operators forget which words are banned and which are not, so we're never sure.
There are a lot of other advantages to slack in the morning but no one has been awake long enough to express it in a way anybody else would understand.
BOB works in radio mystery ministry.
