Hi,
I'm trying to download some of the docs off your site - http://www.starwisp.net/~part15 but the documents seem to be unavailable?
Thanks.
o hey there!
Thats not my site. 🙂
Going there appears to show that whoever registered starwisp.net let the registration lapse and someone else snagged it.
which documents were you interested in? I can see if they are in the archives of the old part15.us site someplace.

that was my site. I was maintaining that part of part15.us up till the hacking. Nobody at part15.us has got around to reinstating my admin priveledges so i can go in there and clean it all up. if madmage will reinstate my priveledges i'll get in there and add everything to the part15.us server. starwisp belonged to ultanium, he still has not contacted me.

I was after the cinefi manual, specifically. But some of the other document look worth browsing, too.
Thanks for everyone's replies.

you dont need admin privs to add content, just content author privs. i'll see about getting you those so you can add your content back to the site.

Hi Guys - Any news on getting the documentation back up?
For some reason I can't figure out it won't uploade to our site, so here it is:
http://scwis.home.comcast.net/cinefiman.pdf

The rest is in the library, here:
www.part15.us/node/442
Enjoy, and thanks to kp8gpd for actually getting and donating the files, I just backed them up
Whee!
WooHoo! Superb, thanks for sorting.
SCWIS, am unable in the LPRC library to open PM 40 Linear amp. Please help. JimB
Perhaps update your acrobat reader, or, here's a gif. It's 3300 X 2200 or so, you might need to click the resize button on your browser:
And yes, a big thank you to madmage and kc8gpd for getting these back up!
SCWIS and all computer guru's. Admit that I'm computer illiterate and need your help. Have updated my acrobat to 7.0 and am still unable to open anything in the LPRC Tech Page. Get error or invalid messages. Other PDF files in the library open fine. SCWIS, your GIF file comes up very unclear with much of the drawing lines missing. Please help. JimB
Hmm, tough to say why that is. There doesn't seem to be any difference between the LPRC pdfs and the pdf files available elswhere here. The only thing I can think of is that the LPRC files are hosted on this server, and many of the others are not. Why that would matter I couldn't say.
Try these, they're some LPRC files I put on an FTP server:
http://scwis.home.comcast.net/files/pm40.pdf
http://scwis.home.comcast.net/files/mastering.pdf
http://scwis.home.comcast.net/files/am600.pdf
If these work, at least we'll have some idea as to what might be an issue...
SCWIS: these files work perfectly. Guess my question now is are the LPRC library files opening for others OK. If so, my computer is still under warranty and I'll take it to the manufacturer. Thanks for your help. JimB
Do you see a little ActiveX message line at the top of your browser window when you click links from the LPRC library? Or, do you have those messages suppressed?
Not likely a hardware issue, so I'm not sure you'd need to return your PC.
Also, there are subtle differences in the way IE, FireFox, Mozilla and Netscape handle http downloads.
If you're still getting the beak, tell us a bit more about your system...
