Light grade pot metal...low grade springs made from light grade metals...clamp also constructed of light grade pot metal..plastic washers and separators will be worn down quickly.
Had one that lasted 2 months under regular use. Became so unstable in it's own clamp and the plastic pieces worn out the entire arm would be so loose it would make metal to metal noises when moved.
For a short term, extremely light use or for wide angle pickup, makes a great boom. Using it for "DJ" purposes...forget it.
