OK, it looks like I'm going to have to move again (this time to Calgary, Alberta) and I don't want to take along a lot of stuff, as it looks like I will be moving frequently in the future.
So I'm going to blow out some excess Part 15 gear that I still have (I'm still keeping 1 FM and 1 FM transmitter to continue Artisan Radio).
So, I have 1, brand new (but older model), mono, Decade MS-100 transmitter in its original box. It has been tested briefly recently, but was never put into service. It has a small ding in the bottom of the antenna (it was there when I got it from the factory, but it doesn't affect the telescoping of the antenna, or its operation in any way). It has it's wall wart power supply, and the supplied manuals. I'm selling it for $200 plus shipping ($20 to Canada, $25 to the U.S.) - that's a substantial savings over the going selling prices from Decade (or anywhere else for that matter).
I also have 2 used (for a couple of months each) ChezRadio ProCaster transmitters. Again, these are older models, but worked well and were sparingly used (for a few months each). I'm asking $200 plus shipping ($20 to Canada, $30 to the U.S. - the shipping box is fairly long due to the supplied tube antenna) for them as well. For each, I have the audio/power studio interface, wall wart power supply and the supplied manual, as well as the aforementioned tube antenna. Again, a huge savings over new ones (and used too, if you can find one).
More to come, once these are gone.
Wow Artisian, that's some bargain pricing, particularly on the procasters. I'd buy em both if it where a little later in the year.
If some one don't snag them quick I'll be surprised.
Curious why their "lightly used".. Did you just decide you liked broadcasting in FM better?
Mainly just tested them out for a short period of time. FM in Canada is always the way to go, at least so far.
Perhaps in Calgary, where it's flat and there are relatively few highrises (and no concrete highrises except in the downtown area), AM will be preferable. That's why I'm keeping one back, at least for now.
Hi There Artisan,
I am new here and saw your posting. I am a Ham in the US and am interested in setting up an AM low power station and am looking for equipment. Being a disabled person I have time on my hands and am just trying to keep busy to keep from going insane, lol ! I did a bit of looking at the chezRadio website. Here's the issue, I know you are offering the transmitter at a great price but, as I am on a very limited income as I am disabled, would/could you do any better on the price ? I know I am asking alot but I have to ask ?
Thanks for you time,
Scottc
ARTISAN RADIO....... you still have the Procaster???
wow you sure move a lot AR. i couldn't do that myself even if i were still working.
I guess the short answer to the question of whether I still have a ProCaster is: yes (my last one). But I'm on the move yet again, don't know where I'm going to end up, so I'm holding onto it for a little while. If I move to a house, then I may end up needing it. May is the operative word, as I would have to see what makes more sense and gets me the most range. Part 15 FM is useable in Canada, but AM, under the right conditions, still gets you out further - if I decide to go with AM, then I would either put the ProCaster into play, or the AMT5000 that I picked up q while ago and never used. If I don't end up needing it, then I will sell it. Check back in a month or so...
Artisan is a G-Man. ๐
