While the built-in limiter of my Radio Systems TR-20 works surprisingly well, I also have a LPB AM-30 on the way, and AFAIK it has no built-in limiter or compressor. While on a quest for an affordable-but-decent compressor, I looked into Behringer. I used to own one of their MDX-series units, forget which model (but I think it might have been this one), that was quite versatile and worked very well, assuming one knows how to properly set it up.
Anyhow, I stumbled upon an awesome deal on Amazon. It's actually a 3rd-party seller who lists on there. As with other deals I share on here, I have no picuniary interest therein - I'm just a natural bargain hunter and when I find a particularly good deal I like to let others in on it.
So... this is a MDX-1400 Autocomp Pro - no longer in Behringer's current product lineup, but still a capable unit for my needs. Listed as "Used, like new" with box and manual. And a steal at under $40 shipped ($35 + $4.49 shipping).

Mine is on its way, and it seems there is at least one more left at that price.
