So it's 12:26 AM Local EDST. I'm in CT.
Getting him on 5085 kHz. I guess if you
look up WBCQ you can get some other
frequencies. Also try 6070 kHz out of Canaada.
They are talking about antennas and gain and
computers etc etc to talk to the Pluto spacecraft.
I wonder how long this topic will go?
Brooce, WLP
5085 kHz.
They are now talking about SETI and
related topics. Looking for alien civilizations
via received RF.
It's still mostly science.
I like the science stuff. But when they leave
science and go to the"supernatural" I lose
my enthusiasm for the most part.
They have "news" that I think is creepy.
I don't pay attention to that. They also
have some commercials that I'm not
crazy about, but atleast Art is selling time.
Now they are playing creepy music. (I
think it's creepy.)
Anyway, tuning this in is fun.
Oh, now they are going to
"open phones."
This is a good use for Part 15.
How come? Well, I'm getting
tons of buzz and RF interference
up here in the bedroom on the
second floor. So I put the shortwave
receiver in a place in the kitchen -
in a place where the RF noise nulled
out. Then I put a Part 15 FM transmitter
into the SW receiver.
So, back upstairs, I'm listening to the
relayed program on a regular FM
radio. It sounds fine.
Oh, Carl - I did "tune in" KDX - but
I was too late. You had signed off
and just your cool time clock was
running.
Bruce, WLP
Not the fault of Part 15.us.
So again, 5085 kHz, WTWW, a U.S.
SW station. WBCQ, 7490 kHz, 9330 kHz (USB???)
And a small Canadian SW station - 6070 kHz.
A small handful of mostly low powered U.S. AM
and FM stations.
And, as most of you probably know, Art streams too,
you can just look it up.
So, 1:33 AM ESDT, my local time in CT.
I'm still getting it on 5085. The show still
sounds good to me, a lot more science than
"science folklore."
Now the weird "alien news" segment is on.
It's short.
OK.
Brooce, WLP
1:42 AM.
Art is talking about LDEs heard on the 75 meter
ham band, because Art is a ham.
I don't know. Fun though.
Brooce
but here's a little more info.
So I'm getting it on 7490 weakly.
Also perhaps on 6070 kHz very weakly
under another station. 6070 is a crowded
channel. But sometimes it's clear for the
Canadian station here in Connecticut.
Brooce, again, WLP
No, KDX will not be streaming Art Bell, because his Terms & Conditions disallow streaming stations from re-airing his program.
But Art Bell permits Part 15 stations to relay his show, and I'll be putting it on KDX-FM 106.9 from his free stream on his website.
At the same time we will be trying 3 different shortwave radios around the house to see what can be DXed.
Mr. Bell is one of the world's great Air Artists, and he deserves as much audience as we can provide.
Just past midnight in central time zone getting good signal from WTTW in Tennessee on 5,085 kHz.
Art is talking to his 2nd time-traveling caller of the evening.
Earlier we learned that "many people feel that something really big is about to happen."
Those feelings are happening, so it was said, in both the physical and spiritual realms.
I think it means a change for FCC Part 15.239.
