Yep. And I would do those modifications to the extent of removing the TX, and replacing it with one that is designed for a 50 ohm match.

Or if I was board to the point of absolutely nothing to do, I could butcher up a good designed unit intended for non 50 ohm standard loading and I might be able to have some fun at least! 😀
