Anyone know the math for the dip switches on the amt-5k, or, better (and saves my lazy butt from guessing) the positions for 1710?
I have the US 10k step one..
Hi mir
Listen closely, I'll only say this once
ON OFF ON OFF ON OFF ON OFF
HA! Awesome! Thank you, Carl!
i'm sure that i don't need to remind either of you that 1710 is outside of 15.219. it's covered by 15.223.
They say wine gets better with age. I wouldn't know, because I never give it a chance to age.
But my AMT5000 has lately been BETTER THAN EVER and I haven't changed anything!
When it first went in about two years ago it was noticably reaching farther than any of my other transmitters, and a few times I could hear it constantly on the very fringe of background noise out for a mile or two in all directions.
But lately it's hung on the dial for stretches of road where I've never heard it before, and I can listen to programming for a lot longer drive.
Is there such a thing as radio equipment that improves with age?
I'm listening to Glenn Hauser's "World of Radio" and he mentioned a station that recently went on 1710 kHz in Argentina.
The link here (scroll to bottom) shows three stations in that country using 1710.
