Dear Part 15 People... tonight 9 PM EDT is the ALPB MEETING for the 3rd Saturday of the month.
Chairman MRAM Bob Felmly may be able to pay a brief visit, but is managing a remote broadcast on WCFI-LPFM, for which reason we will proceed "ad hoc" per the ALPB Charter.
Hope to have everybody on the Teamspeak for tonight!
I will be there Carl 🙂
Thank you Carl for stepping up to run the show.
I did manage to make the meeting after the meeting for a short time.
Thanks to all in attendance.
Good morning Bob, ALPB Members and Part 15 Friends.
We have a good core group who attend twice-monthly meetings and the formal/informal parts of the meetings are based on a plan first established by Chairman MRAM and which continues to keep us organized.
The ALPB now has over 30 members, and new inquiries are made all the time.
Some Highlights from This Weekend's Meeting
1.) Johny C from Rag FM with 1 Watt in New Zealand reported that his station remains operational 24/7, his transmitter/antenna combination are so reliable he never needs to leave the air for testing;
2.) Jeff Station8 has added Versions 4 & 5 to his ongoing development of efficient AM antennas, pursuing trials with various metalic materials and several part 15 transmitter models. Also, Jeff continues to assemble manuals, schematics and permissions to post part 15 equipment information at thealpb(dot)com;
3.) Barry Blue Bucket Radio and Carl Worldround Radio report good results from their home-computer websites, being tested as free alternatives to commercial hosting packages;
4.) Troy TheLegacy, the Initiative Leader, reports on the "New Radio Revolution" and has gained the advice of a licensed FM station owner near his home who is providing valuable input about Part 15 relations with licensed stations.
There's a lot of radio business ahead.
Thakks for the update on what took place in the meeting, for those of us unable to attend due to conflicts.
