The next regular ALPB TeamSpeak meeting will be Saturday November 1st, 9:00 pm Eastern Time.
At the last meeting we discussed the possiblity of switching to Skype. Why? Skype is universally accepted by most and possibly more user friendly. And of course also offers live video for those with a webcam or other video source. The plan is to have a few members hold a "test meeting" using Skype to see how it goes. Perhaps that will happen before the meeting Saturday and can be critiqued at the meeting.
An email was put out to member stations requesting those who wish to be listed on The ALPB website to send me their info. No personal info such as name or phone but simply your station location, identifier and maybe a little background as to programming. This was initiated by one of our member stations who thought it would be great exposure for the group. I have received a few replies. If you are interested send your station info. I will be formating a "Station Listing" page for inclusion to The ALPB website.
'Till The Meeting,

This will be an interesting meeting... I am very curious about Skype... so I'll save anything I have to ask or say until the meeting.
At the same time I truly love the way Teamspeak works.
The ALPB is making low power radio better.
I've never seen such a convoluted download, account creation and login procedure! Leave it to Microsoft to screw things up again. I have an email pending to tell me what I died wrong. Why in the world would they make it so mysterious?
