Another thumbs up for community Radio. This is why Hobby Low Powered FM should be allowed at least for a no cost service where you can transmit 1/4 to 1/2 mile legally to a Digital boom box. If more High Schools at least had a legally low power station that went 1/4 mile it would get some listeners and expose new students to Radio. Its a win win for everyone. Yes AM is good in some areas as it is.
Agreed. Imagine if it were a town-based station, serving the whole community.
Say my good man, could you post a relevant excerpt from the article you're sharing? No negative points if you're using something that doesn't allow copy/paste.
Obviously this guy is invincible right now, but I agree with him, and radio is one of the original social media activities on a campus, and it also qualifies as an "adult" job where students can learn responsibilities and also do for fun.
I wish my school had a radio station, even something on Part 15. We had one teacher who was a ham, and another who was a radio supporter, a huge listener, gave money, etc. The problem at my school would have been with staffing and and someone to run the room I think.
