trying to keep fm signal on property as much as possible and just limit to local area of coverage. im on corner of property and if antenna is 75 ohms will be fed with less than 1mW if 50 ohms less than 2mW trying to keep tx/antenna at p15fm levels 3m from property boundaries.
im in first floor apt of a 3 story apt bldg cluster toward one of the corners of property. want to project most of signal to furthest corners and limit what goes to closest boundaries. this would be good for those in trailer parks as well or other clusters of private/semi private properties.
im thinking 1/2 wave dipole (75 ohms meaning will get 1mW) with some kind of reflector behind it like used in 2.4ghz wifi antenna's
just don't know the dimensions or how to figure them. 88.9 mhz 1/4 wave is 32.8" according to online calculator.
Basically what you want is a yagi with a single forward element (driven) and the reflector element behind.
Not difficult to build one with just a single driven element and the single reflector with the above linked reference.
RFB
I know a gal who takes Yagi several nights a week.
