Best I know of is http://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/page?page=states which state by state gives all the stations on the air and Canada is on the site also.

There's the Interactive Pattern Map http://www.nf8m.com/patternmaps.html which is pretty cool. It visually provides the reception pattern of all the station broadcasting on a given frequency you select. Start by clicking either the day or night link. You can also download the entire database for offline use. For example, if your select 1700AM it displays this map:
Only drawback is that it's only for AM.

I forgot to mention in my previos post that the Interactive Pattern Map pulls the info from the actuall FCC database, and the pattern plots are aproximent based on ground conductivity readings.

So without getting boring, I will say that

I started AM BCB DXing 50 years ago in 

March.  March 1, 1967.  I was in Mass General

hospital in Boston, 100 miles from home.  My

parents could not be there because of logistical

challenges.  It was about 11:PM local time.  To

keep myself calm before the operation the next

morning, I started listening to the AM BCB.  The

first station I heard was on 1470 kHz.  They were

already reducing power for the "Monday morning

test period."  I think they were going from 5 kW

down to 500 watts.   I do not remember the callsign,

unfortunately.  (If you've heard this all before,

you can skip this next part.)  I was completely

blind, awaiting a retina reattachment operation for

my left eye, which unbeknownst (is that a word?)

to me, would take 5 1/2 hours the next day.  

I was 12 years old then.  

I am now trying to recover 50 years of notes

of casual AM/FM/TV dxing.  I am trying to put

it all back together.  

This is really fun.  I have never been more than

a casual DXer, but I have heard a few good DX

stations.  So far, I have counted 28 states on the

AM BCB, 21 states on FM, and 9 states on terrestrial

TV.  Many will laugh at that small amount, but I'm

getting it together anyway.  There is some more

to this story.  I'll save it for later.

Do you remember or use White' Radio Log?  It is long gone, but it was the definitive publication for us DXs back in the 50s and 60s.  You might be interested in this site:  has tons and tons of old radio stuff, including White's and other useful DX publications.

I can't wait to go down into the cellar with

my tablet and spend hours looking at these

maps and links while my wife thinks I'm washing

the car.  (Washing the car?  In January in Connecticut?)

You guys know what I mean.  I don't know how I

missed all of this stuff.  I have seen bits and pieces over

the years, but never knew how to directly connect to

these things.   

By the way - attempts to transmit on the AM and FM

bands came just a few years later.  (Around 1968 or 

1969.)  I didn't know what part 15 was.  I just knew that

there were some kits available that were supposed to work

and get a signal out then.

They need to update the list of Internet stations; my station has been on the air live streaming since 2007 and its not listed.

Plus the local FM Low-Power station in the adjoining town is not listed and they've been on the air for close to two years as well.

I tried to find a link so I could leave them a message, but alas to no avail I could'nt find one.
