That will make this hobby obsolete since all our transmitters are analog. Don't think this is in the near future(I hope)
Better radios are there....like GE superadios, other older ones like that, and Tivoli and Sangean make decent ones. There are also HI-FI tuners all still made.
Problem is people won't spend more on a radio with better reception because they don't care... they will just put it on their favorite local station and leave it there and anything will do.

Micro broadcasting will still be allowed because just like TV low-powered Transmitters were still allowed to exist on analog. It might make for better part 15 fm since no analog stations will exist other than low powered stations meaning the world will be wide open for part 15 fm. Plus at first digital receivers will also be able to receive analog and I'm sure that the analog section will have to be better to support digital sense digital cannot have any interference with it. Thus the Radio will have to become better.
