Hello All,

On a whim I purchased at Sony ICF-P26 for $17.88 at Walmart. Although it's analog, it has amazing sensitivity as well as selectivity on both AM and FM considering the price and size, but it is a Sony. Frequency range on FM is 88 - 108 and on AM it's 530 to 1710 kHz. BTW, unlike other inexpensive analog radios, the dial is VERY accurate.

Sounds great with quality earbuds.

Playing with a Talking House utilizing the supplied indoor antenna, the signal faded out at slightly more that 1/10 of a mile. Your mileage may vary.

It looks like the same radio that my broadcast engineer friend brought to test my station with. Funny thing was and I never thought this was possible but it beat my Tecsun-Pl-380 And PL-365 for picking up my station at the Deltaville Market. And what really floored me was this was without the Terk AM Advantage Loop.  Again what floored me was the radio station was actually very listenable quite Pleasant to listen to in fact. It might be a radio I should tell my listeners to get for a portable radio as it is quite remarkable and they can listen to the station while they work if they were to plug it in to a pair of computer speakers. I may have to experiment with that one a little bit more in the future now that I know the exact model number of the radio. I'll send a copy of this to him and make sure it is the same one but it looks like it is.

Hi Mark,  It sounds very good especially considering the size.  Like I said, it's a Sony. LOL!

TheLegacy: Please let me know if this is the same one. I listen to our LPFM on it and I was very pleased with the sound. Nighttime AM reception was phenomenal.
