It's a non profit group that finds kids who had gotten lost in some peculiar house in Israel, it's not clear to me how a kid gets lost in there, but KMSR1700AM Community Service Radio, whose studio is located in the Popp Music Academy in Sellersburg Indiana, evidently gets in a plane and flys down there to rescue those lost children.
They also use an Isotron antenna.. which is really what I'm pointing out with this post
Our Transmitter is a US Part 15 Talking House 5.0 Transmitter.
Our Antenna is an Isotron ISO AMB 200B Antenna which is a Zero Ground Plane 8 Foot 6 Inch FCC Part 15 Compatible Antenna.
I've been looking at these. I wonder how well they perform?
They've been talked about numerous times in the past, but I've never been particularly interested in them because the general consensus seems to be that their compliance is questionable.
Other than that I don't know.
I went back and looked at a few threads about the Isotron (there was a long one here in this Forum about the AMT5000 and the Isotron quite a while back).
To me, it's really a base loaded vertical, with a top hat. Even though it's supposedly supposed to be ground neutral, everything I read stated that the bottom plate should be grounded, both for lightning protection and better performance (!, which of course takes it out of Part 15 compliance, as Rich alludes to).
The antenna can also be found in the amateur radio world, and is generally not well reviewed (i.e., often referred to as a gimmick).
Why pay hundreds of dollars when you can easily construct a vertical yourself? Top hats tend to be a gray area, but much like symmetrical radials, a top hat increases the efficiency of the vertical rather than radiating itself.
Should you wish to explore it further, here are more prior threads concerning the Isotron..

@artisan-radio Cap Hats at least to me would seem to be problematic with whip antennas like on the Randgemaster. Even the telescoping that comes with the rangemaster is basically a stiffer whip in sections that you pull up like antenna on a portable receiver. Flimsy.

I had no idea the Rangemaster comes supplied with a whip now, but from what you describe who'd want it?
He didn't use to include a whip because it was expensive to ship (they were a single peice whips) and made it not worth it, so he suggested to customers that they'be better off to buy their 8 foot whips locally... so I had bought my whip elsewhere.
