The particular look of the webpage linked to this story looked at first glance like a tabloid news site and I figured this story would fade out like reports of Elvis sightings, but the story has quickly swept the media landscape and turns out to be truthful.
It's sad that parents are driven to such extraordinary lengths to gain advantage for their children and tells of an insane act of love rather than a crime. They deserve the insanity defense.
The takers of these bribes and payoffs, on the other hand, are crooks who deserve many years in cages.
