In the 1980s WHRC FM was the smallest licensed commercial radio station in America, run from the tiny home of Peter and Carolyn Hunn in Port Henry, NY. It is roughly the same as we experience operating part 15 stations from our homes.

We need more like this. There should be obtainable licenses for people this and like that woman you posted about that got busted by the FCC to be able to run homegrown stations like you can in New Zealand with a watt or two. I firmly believe that many "pirates" would gladly get a license and abide by rules if a license for a little station from home could be had and at reasonable cost. But they had quite a good amount of power, 818 watts!
