I was finishing off my bag of Lays Potato Chips and scrolling around on YouTube when I came across a report that Alex Jone's Info Wars domain had been bought at auction by The Onion. I realized it might actually be an Onion spoof, but for some reason I came up with a whole new and unrelated idea.
You are likely aware that 'placement ads' bring in a lot of extra funding for movies. The way it works is that Anheuser-Bush, for example, pays a stack of money to have a bottle of Budweiser Beer appear in a scene with Tom Hanks. And throughout the movie you might see a Mercedes Benz, Kentucky Fried Chicken, TWA airplane and Camel Cigarettes.
We could do that on radio to enhance our own monetization. Yes, all we need to do is verbally describe products that are in the radio studio or in the possession of the DJ. I have here a jar of Jiffy Peanut Butter and later I'll be taking Uber downtown to Cardinal Baseball Stadium. I'll be having breakfast at Sheraton Hotel and get fitted for a suit at Brooks Brothers. We're drinking Nestle Hot Chocolate. $$$$$$$$$$$$
