About this time a year ago, I remember a discussion hitting the boards here about Memorial Day; and what was involved in airing details of the National Memorial Day Parade taking place in Washington DC.
I wonder if anyone ever followed up on that, or is planning on broadcasting the parade this year? For that matter, if any of your own cities of "license" will be having its own parade ,and if it will be on the air on your station?
Regarding the National Memorial Day Parade, do whatever you feel is appropriate.
My plan is to go dark and my stations will be off the air on Memorial Day in homage to those of us who are now silent. There is nothing I can do or say to honor those of us who are now gone other than to silently bow in remembrance of them.
