Interesting that it appears the featured majority listen on vintage radios.
That Fischer composite set looks like a couple of my pieces. In my old machine shop I used what I recall was an old RCA 8 track machine that had a solid state AM/FM tuner. The 8 track long ago stopped but I used it to listen regularly to KMOX and occasionally the FM KSHE. It had a reliable antenna and tuner, and it didn't sound too bad either. No real amplifier on it, I could crank it up and hear it over machinery running (and ear plugs in). Outside my shop the radio was clear and louder than the machines!
So far I am finding the old gear to be more reliable than newer wiz-bang. Good thing I dusted off this old Kenwood and Sony unit.
