I did a restart of the automation computer this morning. And when it came back up, it loaded the scheduled events, But the playlist was blank was blank gone disappeared. I have to load each of the over 700 tracks by selecting one at a time. I don't know what happened when I restarted but it completely erased the playlist database in Zaradio. Anyone else ever had this problem? I never encountered it before. Very time consuming and frustrating...
Its happened to me before because I had thoughtlessly reorganized some folder on my hard drive, but never it had it happen on its own.
Was your playlist in a rot file? Or a m3u file?
There's also an option in Zara to start with the last playlist. Was that set? Or at least I think it's in Zara, I know Salamandra has such an option.
These may all be silly questions, but I had to ask, since we have little information to go with.
I don't get why you have to reload tracks one by one in Zara? Just bring up Zara and the track list in the computer in two windows and shade the whole playlist blue and drag the whole list into the large playlist window and they will all be transferred in 30 seconds.
Before you exit Zara it asks you to save changes, always select yes. Events always get saved but always exit Zara before doing anything to the computer like restarting.
Something simple you overlooked.
I checked and there is an option in Zara in the General section of Options (in the Tools menu) to restart Zara with the last list.
Now, I don't know if you would have had to save that list into a rot file or something similar beforehand. It may not work if you have just loaded a bunch of files and haven't saved the list into something Zara understands.
Mark, you may want the tracks playlist in a certain order, in which case you would use a rot file. If you want random order, you can put all the tracks into a single folder, and then just use that folder as a random track (as opposed to a single track such as an mp3). Or, I think there's an option to shuffle a rot file after you've reached the last track. My Zara memory is a bit rusty as I've been using Salamandra for the last while, which I find more stable (and less buggy).
@mark Because I couldn't select/highlight all the files to move at once. Something went wrong I don't know what it was. I may have hit something by mistake. But I had this problem few months back with the event file being blank. I very rarely have to mess with that unless I'm adding or removing something.
The .lst file contains all the music files to be played. And It was blank for some unknown reason. I tried to use play last and that too was blank...
