Carl's old domain has gone to someone else. Registrant is private, presumably a broker. I reckon the old credit card finally got revoked on the renewal thingy if he passed on.
I saw that. Some registrars (maybe all) give you a bit of time to recover your domain if you don't pay on time. I think that's what happened here - the fee wasn't paid, the time period to recover expired, and now it's gone.
Seems to me the KDX registrant has always shown private, even when Carl was still around, so it's hard d to say
When you attempt to access the website, you go to a general page that registrants use to sell domains.
@artisan-radio Ok, I see that, but it also appears to indicate you can buy that domain name, so it doesn't appear some other private registration currently has it now.
It's probably the original registrar, attempting to resell the domain. Might be worth a bit these days - there is a KDX Rock Radio out there (licensed).
