This should be here. You used to buy an appliance and it lasted forever. A refrigerator purchased in the 1950s 1960s would be the only one you ever needed. Why does a power station have a designed finite life. ALL batteries should be user replaceable and be available. Not built in and non replaceable. Why is a car designed to last for so long and need to be replaced so they can make you get something new. Finally a country has it right but that only applies to manufacturers in France, not something made somewhere else. This has to be everywhere. It's like when electronics were tubes and making the tubes non replaceable so you have to buy another. I have a hatred for billionaires, corporations, and capitalism in general. It's all corrupt.
I completely agree with you, but from a manufactures viewpoint it's not nearly as profitable or sustainable for the company health to produce products made to last.
Seems everything is disposable now. Very sad situation.
