Sad to announce that Brian Wilson the genius behind the Beach Boys died. The beach Boys were my all time favorite band.
He never surfed, hated the beach, and didn't do any of the stuff the Beach Boys sang about but watched and wrote all the songs from what he thought it would be like.
He created the Beach Boys distinct sound by combining Do Wop with Chuck Berry and vocal harmonies influenced by the Lettermen and the Four Freshman from the 50s, and created something brand new from that mix.
He left us but composing all these songs that gave so much joy to so many people like myself will be remembered always.
Sad day for me.

I guess you had probably seen the movie about his life "Love and Mercy". Great movie, John Cussak played Brian and Elizibeth Banks played his wife (to be) . I had really enjoyed it, they're was a lot about Brian Wilson I had no idea about at all.

@richpowers Ha Ha! I didn't get it from there, saw when I turned on the computer this morning. Bad feeling came over me to see it.
Brian and band created something that was unique and never existed before and will never be heard again. To bad the drugs come into it and cause such damage. Nobody can make music like this now. Or like the Beatles did. Machines cannot ever take the place of real people, and real instruments, real talent, real creativity.
