Kind of thinking about getting one of these while they're on sale. I don't really need it and already have a similar rated portable, but it's so cute! And they always come in handy.
Per it's size it's not very capable, it's of course intended for small scale applications, 300w, 128 watt hour capability, one thing that really jumped out at me is it's built-UPS capability - not that I care about that but it made me think of @mark:
[Reliable UPS Backup] - This 128Wh portable power station features a built-in 10ms UPS and 350W bypass output to instantly keep laptops, Wi-Fi routers, security cameras, and gaming setups running during outages. No data loss, no disconnection, no blackout stress—your everyday mini generator and emergency backup in one compact device.
On sale $112 with free shipping in black, or the green one is $119
It's on Amazon
I saw that. I may get one myself as for me it is good enough. Will still run my station for the better part of a day and can power using the 12 volts out to not use inverter. When you get to be as old as me things that are too big and heavy are replaced with lighter and smaller! And with that model the batteries are replaceable. Watching youtube tear downs where the battery pack is shown for this and the other smaller ones like the AC2A,EB3A and AC2P. They are not 18650, they are liFePO4 cylinder cells 3.3 volts each in series. Each cell is 20,000MAH and they are each about 2.5X the size of lithium 18650 and they have a number and I checked online and Ali express has them. So do a couple of other places I saw. The elete 10 takes 2 of them, Watch the tear down. Other models use more of them for the higher capacity with parallel/series combinations. There is a step up to deliver the 12 volts at the DC output and with the app you can change the DC voltage between 13.5 to 12.5. But most of the settings that matter can be done on the unit. Same as the AC2P.
Battery replacement able? I didn't realize that, nice to know, but really by the time that battery fails there will probably be a whole new technology on the market that makes these obsolete!
Yeah, I watch a lot of those teardowns too, God bless YouTube, know before you buy
@richpowers They don't want you to know that batteries are replaceable. They figure they last so long and thousands of full cycle charge and discharges that that's good enough. No user servicable parts inside. That's like having a TV in the 1960s. If it needs a tube you replace the tube, not have to buy a new set. Same thing. Same with a guitar amp, hi fi tube amps, old radio, etc. Nowadays it's buy another. Batteries replaceble like tubes.
Just saw this, evidently the built-in UPS feature has become standard on Bluetti products, That one above is cute and convenient but the real deal is this more robust unit current sale for just under $400, that's an amazing price for this unit
