Program fiddling at KDX.
Very often as daylight fades I mark the change of mood by airing a classical piece, followed by an episode of the Twilight Zone Radio series. Wow, those are great! And under total cover of darkness we play royalty free experimental music of many genres, tonight featuring 'Electro House', something I just discovered. It's very punchy and jumpy with silly noises and disembodied voices repeating nonsense words or phrases. It has thump for the woofers and splash for the tweeters. A real mood blocker. Makes the whole life experience worthwhile.
I couldn't resist, your verse called for it.

Richard, you the man, tell you what!
I thought it could not have come out better. The only thing I did was enter your verse along with three words to prompt the style: "Old Time Radio". I didn't know what to expect. It spat out two versions. One version sucked so bad I immediately deleted it. The other version was.. well perfect.
Incidentally, tried looking up your "Electro House", I'm guessing you're referring to the YouTube playlist of the same name... Most of which is just too much for me. However, I really am fond on the many of the Mashups mixes. Amongst my favorite top ten has got to be this one from about 7 years ago.. I think it's a masterpiece, though might be too much for others:
@richardpowers The electrohouse I have been airing comes from the Internet Archive. The DJ John piece you linked is very good musically. Kind of a blues feel.
A lot of song pieces in it, Bob Segar, Doors, Foriegner, rap, rock, etc..and clips from the Matrix movie and the Disney world roadside radio and god knows what else. The guy really put a lot of work in that mix and managed to merge all those different genres together and make it sound great.
