I have lately been over-loading our resident song arranger R. Powers with ideas for new songs, but we are in the holiday period, and musicians are much in demand.
About New Year's Eve and the new year...
The main thing on New Year's Eve is the wistful Auld Lang Syne which laments the past while we celebrate the coming year... that's a bit of a contradiction.
We need at least two songs to better match whether we are lamenting or celebrating...
Title: The Year is Ending
Starter Lyrics: It's all over
The Year is past.
Kiss it goodbye
The year went so fast...
(AI picks it up from there)
Title: The New Year is Here!
Starter Lyrics: A New Year arrives!
Another go around the sun!
New days new lives!
Sparkling times of fun!
(AI picks it up from there)
Sometimes got to wait before it gives me a download link
@richardpowers You, sir, are Richard Powerful! 'The Year is Ending' is already a Grammy Award Winner and it hasn't even been released yet! I do hope your fame as a song collaborator doesn't take you away from little old part 15 land with your new yacht and servant girls in swim suits.
- The Year is Ending
Note the song ends at 3:15. Then after a pause there's a short reprise I was in the process of working on when I ran out of credits.
Year is ending. (Fixed reprise)
Same second song of Carl's as above, just completed the reprise that comes after 3:15 I like the increasing tempo and wanted to use it at the beginning but it changes everything so left it as is and closed it off.
@richardpowers Yes! Yes! We will be playing this one during the KDX Earth Party held for the Annual Changing of the Calendar
And you will be happy to know that I have yet another song idea, more to come.
@richardpowers Wistful songs about 'the good old days' are part of end-of-year dances and radio programs. I'm talking about songs like 'Those Were the Days' (Theme of TV show 'All In the Family'), 'Yesterday' (The Beatles), 'These Will Be the Good Old Days 20 Years from Now', and this one by Guy Lombardo and the Royal Canadians
Now we can make another one titled 'Back In the Day'.
Here's a simple little one I did a few weeks ago that I forgot sbout.
Merry Christmas time
@richardpowers Another good one, Rich.
