Remembering American Top 40
The other day the lovely lady at the bank said, "Has anyone ever told you you sound like Casey Kasem?" I thanked her for the compliment.
Today I ran across this Casey Kasem Moment when he gave some instructions to his producers.
Some undisclosed sources told me that Casey was racist S.O.B.
That's peculiar, because everything I know about him indicates that he actively fought racism, particularly against those of Arab descent (he was the son of Lebanese immigrant parents).
Not Only That But
If we look at all the people who make the great top 40 music there's no way to be racist.
Well, maybe a stupid guy could be that kind of bigot but Casey Kasem was definitely not stupid.
What are we to think? Perhaps we should check with the undisclosed sources.

It looks like I might be talking about a different Casey Kasem.
