We have some interesting shows this week.
Tuesday at 5PM Pacific (8PM Eastern), Teenage Dreams (a show which plays the music teenagers listened to in the late 1950s and early 1960s) has the theme of movies and going to the movies. Lots of obscure music, as well as hits from such artists as The Drifters, Linda Scott, Johnny Cash and others. The show is repeated Saturdays and Sundays at 11AM Pacific (2PM Eastern).
Wednesday at 5PM Pacific we have a new Beautiful Sounds show, which features easy listening music from the 1960s and the 1970s. Repeated Saturdays and Sundays at 1PM Pacific.
Thursday at 5PM Pacific we have a combination 101 Below and Surfin' The New Wave Show, co-hosted by John Francis & yours truly. We'll be playing music that got some attention and airplay during the new wave era (late 1970s and 1980s) but bubbled under the Billboard Hot 100 charts, peaking at #101 or below. You'll be surprised at some of the artists which made this list, including The Cure, Elvis Costello, The Jim Carroll Band and lots more. Repeated Saturdays and Sundays at 3PM Pacific.
That's in addition to the Oompah Hour (Noon Pacific Mondays through Fridays), Billboard Hits and Misses throughout the day, as well as Vintage Jazz and Old Time Radio throughout the evenings and night.
