Since Canada is not going to change the law to allow broadcasting on AM I can't see myself having a need for my Procaster and rather it sit here taking up space in the cupboard indefinitely maybe someone else can make use of it.
I am willing to let it go for $250 USD$$ or CAN$$ and that would include fast express shipping to Canada or USA. This is a good price and you can see what a new one costs.
I will send the transmitter, studio for power and audio to the Procaster, a length of 4 conductor shielded cable for connection from studio to Procaster and a 3 pole grounded 12 volt power supply.
I don't have the original antenna as I didn't get it when I bought the Procaster as I used it from indoors so that can be purchased separately from Procaster. More cable can be had from amazon. For me to buy the antenna and trying to ship it with the antenna which would need a box 1 meter long would cost much more so it's as is. I will include 104" wire with alligator clip. Even Rangemaster doesn't ship with antenna but he tells you where to get one. $250 firm. That will include the shipping express and if in the USA I will state on the declaration slip it is a repaired item not new so no(hopefully) extra tariffs but can't guarantee that.
If interested contact in forum personal contact. Sorry but I can't accept payments, only paid in full with Paypal.
I'll buy it, but have to wait to the first as I've already made a big purchase this month. If you're willing to hold it until March 1 I'll buy it.
I got in the line to buy it before you, several hours ago. Now Mark has a problem.
@artisan-radio You and Rich are going to have to figure this out between the two of you. I don't care who I send it to. I have it already packed and ready to send.
Rich, March 1st has gone already, what month do you mean? As for other payment methods I don't know about the others. I have paypal and no others. Easy to get a paypal account.
Let me know between you both who gets it! But like I said I need simple payment to my paypal account and I send procaster.
Oh well, early bird gets the worm I guess. Congratulations on your new transmitter, that really is a bargain, I would have liked to have it.
@mark I meant May 1, but fairs fair if Artesian had already laid claim. If anything changes let me know and I'll purchase come the 1st of the month.
Oh wow! I see the Procaster has elevated in price since the last time I checked, it cost more than the Rangemaster now! It's just my opinion but I don't think a Procaster is worth over a thousand dollars, especially when you can get a Rangemaster which is better built (I think) for less cost (presumably you still can)
@richpowers I don't know who spoke up for it first as I wasn't watching the forum to see who posted first. I just went to email and saw Artisan's message so I don't want any hard feelings. I emailed artisan to figure it out with you. Artisan massaged me, he didn't post on forum.
Speaking of which, I know Yellowstone bought 11 Rangemasters about ten years ago, but know they also bought at least one Procaster (maybe more) because it shows a park ranger holding one. I'll try to track down that picture but think I've posted it here before. Low power AM is still popular in such areas.
@mark I'm not going to make a fuss about it, Artesian said he contacted you hours before I even saw and replied to your post so it's completely fair that he gets it. I am envious, but glad for him at the same time.
But really... $1200 for a new Procaster? Doesn't that seem a little steep? Maybe he's trying to recoup his losses on his FM transmitter
@richpowers OK if that's the way it was I will tell artisan he gets it. Like I said I didn't see who responded first. I was sleeping till 11:30 today so it very well could have been artisan that responded first but make sure with him and I will wait to send. I still have not received payment from artisan so I'll wait till later to be sure.
As for price he did some changing but the price you are seeing is the Canadian dollars price.
US price is $749 a $50 increase from before. He just listed the USA price before.
@mark Oh I see, however Google tells me CA$1160 is approximately $850 US dollars
OK, I did send the money through Paypal. Sorry about that, Rich, but I couldn't have afforded it any other way. Or justified a new one.
