Can ZaraRadio download and play mp3 tracks from xml?
I want to add the Free Talk Live broadcast to a playlist on Zara but really not sure how to do it, other than downloading it and inserting it into the playlist manually.
If we can find a way to do this, i will be broadcasting FTL at 6 pm wich is the time they schedule to air the live version. Of course broadcasting their show delayed by one day, but still good enough for me.
Also I will also be posting on my blog here about my decision to include a.m. to Free Radio London.
Any help you can provide of course is always appreciated.
CORRECTION MADE: FTL Starts their program at 7 pm ..
Use a podcast program like Juice to download the program, then play it back in Zararadio. Set it up as an event. You might have to rename the file if the one you're downloading has an episode number or date as part of the file name. You could do that with a batch file.
You can also take the program live using Zara. Set up the program as an event, then plug in the URL of the stream.
Good luck.

Thanks Frank,
I tried the stream first, but for some odd reason zara did not pick it up.
Looks like i will try juice then. I would have liked to pull the live stream but looks as though zara has other plans for that programming.
I will keep messing with zara until i get it to do this right the first time, i like ftl and want to add their show and a few others to the playlist just to shake things up a bit, lets face it theres not alot of free/independent music you can play for a whole week let alone a whole month.
Again thanks, this website has been a very valuable tool for me and others im sure.
Free Radio London
Zara is kind of funny about playing back live streams. It will do it, but you have to put in the explicit URL for the stream you're trying to play back. I have discovered that if it's a Media Player feed, for example, you can't use the .asx within Zara. You have to use mms://www.streamprovider.com:port as opposed to http://www.streamprovider.com/stream.asx. Same is true for mp3 feeds. You have to use http://www.streamprovider.com:port instead of http://www.streamprovider.com/listen.pls. Others may have had differing results, but that's been my experience.
