There are plenty of part 15 broadcasters who still feature vinyl play, so maybe this new record player on Amazon for $40 might be worth looking at because buyers are saying it's amazing..

Realistically, this type of record player would be good for vinyl casual listening, but broadcasting?
Given that it costs less than even an entry quality magnetic cartridge alone, you can't expect miracles. I'd also worry about longevity, but for casual listening (i.e., not too much or too often), it would probably be OK. It looks cool, if nothing else.
Personally I wouldn't touch anything but a direct drive turntable, with a decent cartridge. I found the one I use at a thrift store, bargained them down to under C$20 because the cartridge needle was broken (although everything else worked fine), and then replaced the entire cartridge with a brand new one I had recently purchased at the same store (listed for about C$100+ quite a while ago, got it for C$5). I used the system on my recent and lamented Vinyl Jukebox show (which I likely will revive at some point).
Although finding decent working turntables on the used market is getting harder these days, it can be done if you know what to look for.

Realistically? maybe not the best choice, but certainly capable via the headphone jack, but agreed that buying a used turntable for you studio would be a better choice.
What really made me post it was that it's only $40 with nearly 10 thousand customer reviews praising it without a single negative comment. I've seen several new turntables on the market over the last 5 or 6 years but they've all cost from the low to the high $thousands.
To be honest, I'd order one right now in a heartbeat, just t OP have it if I actually still had some LPs, how could you possibly lose?
