This is a good sign for saving free over-the-air TV broadcasting, which has been somewhat endangered by the shift away from antennas.
There is an interesting history in this piece about Channel Master Antenna Company.

Some browsers display a "Subscribers Only" notice on top of the LA Times antenna story, so we re-route you to Denver for a different version of the same story.
I get over 20 channels over air, and combine that with a Ruko for the free on demand movies and shows.. It's more than I could ever desire for free TV. I cut the cable cord long ago.
However, where I am the channels on 11 rarely come in, and that's CBS, otherwise I would be receiving 23 channels OTA.
Corporate greed. Keep charging too much and people smarten up and realize they can stick a piece of wire up and get TV for free like it used to be. Especially to watch regular programs.
Problem is you can't watch sports as most sports is on cable channels like Sportsnet.
Yeah, OTA TV is still free like it used to be, except it used to be you could still watch a weak station, it just had more snow on the screen. Nowadays you either receive an excellent picture or nothing at all. No such thing as pulling in a weak digital TV station.
As for sports.. really? Maybe not any game but you can still watch major league games on regular network TV.. at least you can around here anyway.

Not here in southern Ontario. ALL sports from major leagues, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, let alone golf or tennis isn't on any over the air station on any network and that includes ABC NBC and CBS. Or CTV global, CBC Canada. The Saturday Leaf game may still be on CBC Saturday but that's it.
Want to watch Roger Federer and Nadal in the Austalian open.....you need cable!
Want to watch the Raptor games, Blue Jay games, cable channels only.

I recently saw an ad for an"HD" antenna that uses "proven RF Technology."
Ear Antennas
Rabbit Ear Antennas worked well for VHF. I would think that Human Ears would do well for Wi-Fi.
