What Can We Estimate About Plasma Antennas for Part 15 Use
As yet we have encountered no schematic picture showing the input and design of a plasma antenna, so for the time being we can visualize and imagine what they look like and how they connect to transmitters.
Because plasma antennas are not "wire" as described in the FCC Part 15 Rules for antennas the "3-meter rule" for AM certainly won't be applicable.
A florescent lamp is a tube within which a plasma is generated for the purpose of producing light, its input being electric voltage, so perhaps a plasma antenna will be something similar with the input being RF Voltage/Current.
Are plasma antennas within the portfolio of what a radio hobbyist can build at home?
